The students of Gulf Breeze High School have built a nursery to sustain the dune and wetland plants for the Deadman’s Island Restoration Project. Pictures will be posted in a few weeks!! A special Thanks to GBHS Teachers leading this project, Marrietta Stevenson and Grace French. Great Job!
After 15 years of waiting, The City of Gulf Breeze has a letter to Intent to Permit on the breakwater structures to protect the eroding shoreline of Deadman’s Island. If all homeowners agree to this project, we may be able start in June depending on the issuance of the permit. Send in your support!
There is no public access for the general public to Deadman’s Island. Permitters are allowed through designated area by permission from the homeowners only. Please do not access private property.
