This site has been established to post information on the process of restoration of Deadman’s Island in Gulf Breeze, Florida. We encourage open communication and inquiries. This blog will attempt to chronicle the process, filings, plans and activities of the effort to create a breakwater around this small spit of land. We encourage interested parties to gain a full understanding of the efforts being made and the constraints, parameters and restrictions that the project managers face in satisfying the numerous interested permitting agencies and oversight organizations and well as limited financial resourses the project can access.
While funding for this project is primarily sourced from numerous City, State and Federal sources, local sponsorship and support is vitally important to the total success of the project.
