Boyscout planting at Deadman’s Island,Saturday November 15,2008 !
Ryan Henderson, an Eagle Scout candidate, coordinated a planting project on Saturday! He did a great job and the Scouts (and Scout Leaders) not only planted vegetation needed to stabilize the shoreline but built a fence to help protect the area. The Scouts later cleaned up trash and enjoyed the beautiful day on Deadman’s Island. Ryan’s project will help further stabilize the North end of the island that is eroding. Great Job!
