William Neyman Project Saturday October 18th!

William had a great turnout for his planting, residents and members of the Gulf Breeze Rotary Club and Gulf Breeze high School Interact Club helped in this effort. William’s Troop #10 started the day marching down Deadman’s Island with the troop flag, setting up refreshment tables and began planting.  Gulf Breeze Interact Club created a pathway for those visting Deadman’s Island can walk on the peninsula without stepping on and injuring the plants. William also deployed the small pvc spat collecting apparatus used to help me monitor settlement of the spat (oyster larvae) coming from area oyster reefs (East Bay). This apparatus will help me determined the spat count of each spawning to determine the settlement rate on the proposed oyster breakwaters. Thanks William!
